This farmhouse near Odiham has been in the family for many years and there came the opportunity to extend the house and convert the attached barn to better suit their current needs. The house was carefully and sympathetically restored to deliver modern standards of comfort. It was important that the extension blended seamlessly into the existing house and that the conversion of the barn was an honest expression of the buildings former function – this became a double height sitting room and estate office. The unearthing of a well in a hop drying room presented a challenge and ultimately became a central feature of the boot room.
